Secure original technology and strengthen domestic research capacity by inviting researchers from advanced countries to Korea and utilizing outstanding international resources such as original technology in the field of S&T, and establishing and operating joint research centers in Korea in partnership with outstanding overseas research institutions

Create a research foundation to make Korea a global R&D hub that is able to benefit from having outstanding researchers in the country, an infrastructure with state-of-the-art equipment, basic technology from abroad, and advanced research techniques

    (Establishment and operation of joint research centers) Support the establishment and operation of joint research centers with outstanding overseas research institutions to secure global core technologies and mutually strengthen our capacity for innovation

    (Incorporation of Korean branches of outstanding overseas research institutions) Support the establishment and operation of branches of overseas institutions in Korea to stimulate joint research efforts and the continued inflow of outstanding researchers from overseas institutions
